 NAASC Philadelphia Chapter
The Philadelphia Chapter of NAASC consists of Spelman College alumnae located in the Greater Philadelphia area which includes surrounding Southeastern PA suburbs and South New Jersey.

The Chapter supports Spelman College, serves our community, fosters sisterhood through social and service activities, celebrates alumnae success and provides alumnae opportunities to develop and showcase leadership skills.

Some of our cornerstone activities and initiatives include:


  • Award two $2,500 one-time tuitions scholarships to local current Spelman College students
  • Host an annual Founders' Day celebration
  • Co-host an annual Back-to-School BBQ for local Spelman and Morehouse students 
  • Recruit on behalf of Spelman College at local college fairs

Chapter membership is $50 per year for all classes. Membership with NAASC Nationals is required to join the chapter; dues vary based on class (see FY22 fees here). The fiscal year runs from July 1st to June 30th.

NAASC Philadelphia is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

​NAASC
The National Alumnae Association of Spelman College (NAASC) is the official organization that supports Spelman College, a historically black college for women, through financial gifts, student recruitment, sisterhood, community service, and recognition of Spelman women. The Association provides, encourages and promotes growth and development of alumnae through leadership opportunities and partnership alliances. 

The National Alumnae Association of Spelman College was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 1976.
